Graphic

My sister left a comment and suggested that I show Megan pictures of the baby as it grows and develops because Megan thinks it is really neat to hear about it. It reminded me of this:

At my first dr. appt. they gave us a whole bag filled with "goods", about 10 magazines and a thick pregnancy book, many items about being preggo and the first few months after. So I was looking through one with the kids that night. This book was one with a real life picture of the baby in utero and talked about the development month by month. They kids really thought it was cool. We get to month 8 (the book is half on my lap half on Megans) so I turn the page to the last month and what is the picture for that month? A full picture of the Delivery Docs veiw of delivery. I mean the head crowning, half way out and out with umbilical cord still attached. Graphic! So I quickly took the book, skipped that page and went on to the baby being cleaned and a newborn. I thought I would wait until she is older and then traumatize here when she is a teenager with those pictures!

I don't know about you but I am not one to have the mirror and watch as I deliver, maybe with this last one, so it will convince me to never do it again. I know the whole getting pregnant and having a baby is just amazing but I don't want to see the down there parts of it. Anyway, what would you do? Would you let your 7 year old see those pictures or keep it until shes older? My kids seem to be pretty innocent still, they don't know about all that "stuff" that goes into creating a baby and I would rather keep it that way for a while longer yet. Tell me what you think.

Better late than never...right?

I know Halloween was a couple of weeks ago, but my theme of life lately is: I don't feel like doing anything. This includes uploading pictures, updating blog, cleaning house, getting up in the morning and getting kids ready, cleaning house, going out places, etc., name it, I don't feel like doing it.
But I am finally starting to feel a little better during the days so I am getting back up and doing these things (all but keeping a very clean house, that can wait!) So finally here are the Halloween pictures.

My almost 2 year old, being a kitty, she was so adorable, she wouldn't wear the ears on beggars night but she did for trunk-or-treat. She even meowed if you asked her to!

Joseph at preschool, being an FBI guy, he even had an attitude! (He couldn't be the devil at the church preschool so we came up with this)

Sarah just being cute!

Megan and Joseph all ready to go trick-or-treating or I should say go eat candy. Joseph with his pitchfork that is supposed to stay on the ground, not swung around, and Megan an adorable witch.

All 3, but Sarah wanted nothing to do with picture taking she wanted to go eat CANDY! (I wasn't smart enough to take pictures before going out)

We had a good Halloween.
Things lately.
We were shopping at dreaded wal-mart awhile back and Sarah wanted Chips, so I gave in and handed her a bag, she took it and said "It's my lucky Day!!!" all smiles, even for me and my parents who couldn't stop laughing.
Joseph has learned the turkey lurkey song and a then acts like slitting his throat at the end. It is a cute song. My name is turkey lurkey, I live with farmer brown, I know thanksgivings coming, so get me out of town....I can't remember the rest. I'll have to ask him.
Brent was called to the High council. This should be a fun calling, especially come this summer with a newborn. Truthfully, though, I am not worried about it. I KNOW he will do wonderful in this calling and I know I can handle the sundays he is not with me.
Megan likes to hear updates of how big the baby is getting. 12 weeks: the baby is about as long as a lime, and his/her arms and legs, fingers and toes are just about all formed. She thinks these are fun to hear, I have to agree. The whole process is amazing.
I think I will end now, thanks for reading!

heartbeat/parents/jump/snow/Halloween/birthday

Did I get that all in the title?

I feel I have been busy, busy, sick, sick, and tired, tired. So here is a quick update.
1. We heard the baby's heart beat for the first time yesterday. This is always exciting and fun and makes it a little more real.

2. My parents came to visit for about a week. As we were driving away from the airport from dropping them off the kids said they had a lot of fun with them here. This is always good to hear.

3. Sarah has learned how to jump, off the ground. It is pretty cute whenever she gets excited she jumps up and down 3-4 times. We get a good laugh watching her.

4. It snowed for the first time for this "winter". Not really looking forward to the below 0 weather and windchills and all that "wonderful winter" weather. But the kids were WAY excited. They even wanted to go out and shovel and build a snow man. To bad it doesn't even cover the grass completely!

5. We had a great Halloween with the kids (still haven't downloaded the pictures) Megan was a witch, a very cute one, Josesph was the devil and an FBI guy for preschool, his church preschool looks down on costumes that have anything to do with satan, and little Sarah was a Kitty and a pretty adorable one at that! They all had a great time. Megan and Joseph quickly got the go house to house tell a joke and get candy, Sarah on the other hand thought she had to eat each piece of candy she got before the next house...it was quite fun!

6. I had my 28th birthday on Halloween. All I wanted was to have dinner at Texas Roadhouse, it was the 2nd time I have been there and I had been craving it for WEEKS.
YUM!!!!

7. Thats it for now!!!!
